Alan Greene is the CEO and Co-Founder of LifeLight Communications, a 501c3 non-profit ministry. He and his wife, Vicki, President and Co-Founder, have a diverse background of both ministry and business experience. In 2001, God made it clear that pursuing full-time ministry was the call upon their hearts. The vision and call of LifeLight is "Taking the Church outside the walls, bringing Light into the darkness with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ." The ministry includes Festivals, Tours & Concerts, Student Ministries, Missions, Radio and Outreach Events. Together, along with many others, they serve in ministry at the LifeLight home base in Sioux Falls, SD. In John 8:12 Jesus said "I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but have the Light of Life." From this verse the LifeLight ministry was born.

LifeLight facilitates the annual LifeLight Music Festival in Sioux Falls, SD.

The Sioux Falls Festival is the largest and most well known aspect of the ministry and is offered FREE of admission to the public. "We, as the church have been called to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and as an extension of the church, feel the festival is to be FREE so that ALL may come and ALL may hear of the saving grace of Christ" Alan Greene explains, "this was God's call for the LifeLight Festival and our founding principle." The LifeLight Festival is held annually over Labor Day weekend and attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country and world. In 2009, the attendance was over 270,000 over the three day event.

Most recently, the Sioux Falls Festival model has been expanded regionally and internationally. April 2010 marked LifeLight’s first international expansion, having hosted four festivals and two pastors conferences in Karachi & Hyderabad, Pakistan. Also recently announced, LifeLight's first 1-Day Festival to be held in Bethany, MO. The 1-Day LifeLight Missouri Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2010; in accordance with LifeLight’s vision this festival will also be held FREE of admission.

Alan was raised in North Carolina and moved to Sioux Falls while in high school. It was there that he met his high school sweetheart, Vicki. They have been married for 34 years and are the parents of three beautiful daughters. They are the proud grandparents to their grandson, Shade and granddaughter, Kyera.

Alan speaks at events, churches and conferences on the call of the church and uniting Christians centered on God's word. He is a member of NGA (Next Generation Alliance) a network of evangelists started by the Luis Palau Association, ordained through AEA (American Evangelistic Association) and a member of the PEN Network (Proclamation Evangelism Network) a part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. His passion is to share the Gospel message with as many people as possible and encourage the ongoing work of evangelism and missions in fulfilling Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
