LIFELIGHT TESTIMONIES

it's all about . . . . . . . CHANGED LIVES

“A month ago I tried to OD on meds and was in the hospital. This was to me, my last hope at jump starting my life again as thoughts of death, anger, and tears consume me. I received more than I had hoped this year. It is only the beginning to filling my soul up again; however, had it not been for LifeLight...I may not be alive much longer.”

“In my twenty-nine years as a Christian, I have never even come close to seeing the openness to the Gospel that I saw in Juarez, Mexico. Everywhere we-total strangers and foreigners-went, people invited us into their homes to pray for them. People came up to us on the streets, asking us to pray for them, or to give them Bibles and other Gospel materials. People we approached in the plazas wanted to hear what we had to say, and for many of them, they became Christians on the spot.  Nowhere were we ridiculed. Nowhere were doors slammed in our faces. In fact exactly the opposite happened. Many people came to Christ. Many people were healed including people who had cancer, ulcers and people who could not even walk began to run. This trip will be one to be remembered for years as God did so many miracles from people coming to Christ to healings to Angels camping around us at all times to protect us. On several occasions, we saw people that had just become Christian converts take the Gospel materials we had just given them, and start sharing them with their friends before we even left their neighborhood. It was mind-blowing; like living the Book of Acts. Now, several weeks later as I write this, I’m still down-loading it, like a huge JPEG picture file that takes forever to download into your computer. Only a great God like the one that we worship could take a city with 12 to 13 killings a day to not allowing a single person to be killed the whole time the team was there. That is the protection of our great God!”

“This year, I had a tremendous opportunity to be a part of the LifeLight Street Team. At the Souled Out stage, where I spent most of my time engaging teenagers and young adults about their faith, I noticed one of the main answers were simply self worth. Many were hurting so badly inside. Pain caused by issues such as divorced parents, school settings, illnesses, grief and loss, abuse, and drugs and alcohol. The ways they had been dealing with these problems ranged from cutting, thoughts of suicide, and simply shutting down their emotions based on their despair and a sense of hopelessness. I've come to realize that when a person has been living long enough under these conditions and using these methods to cope, the thought of a Savior and a promise of salvation sometimes doesn't register easily. But after a conversation with someone who genuinely cares and a chance to have someone pray for them specifically, they quickly open to the idea that God does in fact love them and cares so much that He did what He did, just for them…Somewhere in all the music and the party like atmosphere, somewhere amongst all the slushies and corndogs, God is speaking to them. Each of them can be assured God is working in their lives and is trying to communicate with them individually, despite the fact they are surrounded by a hundred thousand other people at that very moment Christ is calling their name…To see a group of young people praying together over one of their friends as that friend surrenders their life to Christ is a powerful thing. You would only have to experience it once to want to volunteer to be a prayer counselor at LifeLight.”

“I was at the LifeLight fall tour stop in Groton, SD. Wow!! What an awesome experience!! When Eric Samuel Timm asked people to raise their hands if they were ready to make a decision for Christ, the response was overwhelming!!! I was just standing in the crowd and hands went up everywhere all around me. The number of people wanting booklets and response cards was just awesome. They had to go and get more books but people just waited and kept their hands up. Of the people right in front of the stage where I was, probably more than 70 percent raised their hands. I couldn't see the whole room but I think over half the people in attendance went back to the "prayer tent" because the room really emptied out when they left. I was just standing there in awe of the presence of God that filled the building and praising Him for the work He was doing!! How exciting to witness such a movement of the Holy Spirit. I feel so blessed just to get to watch it happen. I will continue to pray for those around me who made decisions for Christ. Also THE MUSIC WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I had a great time!! All three bands totally rocked the house and I was really impressed at the show they put on but God just took over and took center stage. I just want to thank you and Disciple, Project 86 and Children 18:3 and all the other LifeLight tours bands for what you are doing. It may be hard to play for such a small crowd and it might seem like all the work isn't worth it but God is doing amazing things through you. Small towns are notorious for having nothing to do so when a band - any band - will come out to do a show it draws people who wouldn't normally come to a Christian event. And I think the results speak for themselves. You are having an incredible impact through these small tour stops. Keep up the amazingly awesome good work.”

“Seeing about fifteen hundred kids raise their hands to the sky and praise the Lord! I have never seen anything like it in my life. Kids openly showing their faith for everyone to see.”

"Souled Out has been a source of constant encouragement for me. It is great to meet with other Christians in your school to get to know God better. Going through the halls and seeing your Souled Out friends is great because you can encourage each other. Souled Out is worth everything to be in it."
