VOTA
(formerly Casting Pearls)
Its a time of transition for our friends from Lincoln, NE. For years, you've seen us partner with these guys at our Festival and Tours. You probably recognize them as Casting Pearls and have most likely seen them at one of our events. You may have seen their lead singer Bryan even play with the Newsboys as he did so for 2 years. Thats the old and the new is called VOTA. The ink is barely dry from their new record deal with INO Records. I dont know exactly what VOTA means, but a promising future might be it. They've always been one of the most entertaining bands to watch with a very charismatic front-man, but this new music ranks up there as some of the best I've heard in awhile. This is a must see performance packed full of their new music!

BIOGRAPHY:
National recording artists VOTA, formerly Casting Pearls, are a pop rock band based in Lincoln, NE that has been on the regional and national tour circuit for over five years. VOTA has recently signed with INO Records out of Brentwood, TN and will be releasing their second album nationally in late 2008. VOTA’s past self-titled release, produced by Grammy-winning producers Jason Burkum and Nathan Dantzler, has moved over 40,000 copies of the record independently. From their self-titled release, VOTA boasted two radio hits; “Weighted” in the Top 15 of the R&R Rock charts and “Alright”, which remained in the Top 30 of the R&R CHR charts for over four months. Currently, VOTA is working on their next national release, which is slated to release with Nashville-based INO Records in September 2008. The Nebraska-based band has been fortunate enough to spread its international touring presence to Germany, Switzerland, Canada and Mexico. The band’s tour schedule over the past three years has been largely consumed with a high school assembly program they started in 2006 called The 180 Tour, which features VOTA’s music and the story of Columbine tragedy survivor, Crystal Miller. On The 180 Tour, VOTA has performed over 200 events in the last year and been in front of over 80,000 students nationwide. VOTA remains committed to encouraging students in their character and decision making, and that who they are today is what matters most.
