2010 ARTIST TALENT SEARCH PROGRAM
As we embark upon a new era of the festival at its new location, so do we embark on new opportunities to provide Artists who desire to perform at the festival.
For 2010 the following three options are available to Artist’s who desire to play at the festival.
Option 1: On-line Talent Search through Sonicbids
As with previous years we will again conduct an on-line talent competition joining with the other Christian Festival across the county. The on-line winners will be invited to compete at the festival and the winner of the live festival competition will be invited to compete in Nashville, TN against the other festival winners for a Word Record Development Contract. This provides new bands with an opportunity to be connected with a record label which otherwise is very difficult to obtain.
Fee: $40
Option 2: Live Talent Search in Minneapolis located at 3 Degree’s Ministries.
This is a new option for Artists who desire to perform in a live competition. You can sign up for the 3 Degree’s/LifeLight Talent Search located at 3 Degree’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota. LifeLight representatives will be present at the competition judging and choosing the Artist/s to invite to the festival. The winner/s of this competition may also be provided with the opportunity to compete in the LifeLight National Christian Festivals Association Talent Search contest with the winner going to Nashville, TN to compete against other festival winners for a Word Record Development Deal.
Fee: 3 Degree’s entrance fee
Artist’s may participate in both option 1 and option 2 if they so choose
Option 3: LifeLight Listening Team for currently Signed or Independent Label Artist’s
For bands who are already signed with a record label or independent label and desire to play at the festival. You will be allowed to submit your EPK to our LifeLight Listening Team. This team is comprised of experienced musicians who will make recommendations to the Festival Director as to what bands to invite to the festival.
Fee: LifeLight will not pay a fee to the Artist to play, however, Artist’s who are invited will be allowed to sell their merchandise at the festival and LifeLight will charge no merch fee to the artist. Bands also benefit from promotion of the festival through web site exposure, program mention and bio, and other festival mailings.
DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSIONS OF EPK’S FOR CONSIDERATION is May 1, 2010. You may submit your EPK to office@lifelight.org, include the following information for eligibility: Artist Name, Location, Website, Label, Artist Management/Booking Info, Independent Info (if applicable).
