Back by popular demand, “2 New York Times Best-Selling Authors” will return to
South Dakota at the LifeLight Music Festival
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (June, 2011) – What started out with humble beginnings became one of the biggest events ever to be held at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD. The overwhelmingly popular event ‘One Night with 2 New York Times Best-Selling Authors’ involving Don Piper, author of 90 Minutes in Heaven, and Bill Wiese, author of 23 Minutes in Hell, is returning to South Dakota. Appearing before their largest crowd ever, Piper and Wiese will enter into a festival setting, offering an event that has never been done before.
LifeLight Communications, Inc. is proud to announce the “event within an event” to be held Sunday, September 4th starting at 6:45pm, Main Stage at the LifeLight Festival. Moderated by Alan Greene, Evangelist and Founder/CEO of LifeLight Communications, this special event will captivate an expected crowd of 100,000. Lincoln, NE band VOTA will blend the event with music between the messages. “Facilitating back-to-back authors in a festival setting presented some challenges in the beginning but final plans now provide the crowd with a good balance between each author and musical entertainment,” Julie Klinger, Festival Director, says. The evening will close with headliner Jeremy Camp at 9:30pm.South Dakota at the LifeLight Music Festival
“We have received a high number of requests to bring back this event and are fortunate that both authors were available on the same date,” Greene explains. “Don & Bill are looking forward to returning to the area to share their experiences with the massive crowd."
Based on the overwhelming success of his New York Times best-selling book, 23 Minutes in Hell, author Bill Wiese has become a man on a mission, teaching as many people as possible about the place of eternal torment. “With all sincerity, I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to end up in hell,” Wiese explains.
In 1989, Don Piper was on his way back from a church conference when an 18-wheeler struck his Ford Escort head on. He was killed instantly - pronounced dead by four sets of EMTs. During the time he was dead, Piper was granted the extreme privilege of glimpsing Heaven itself. His dramatic story has been retold on numerous network TV programs and talk shows. Piper’s book, recently featured in Newsweek Magazine, is now in its 41st printing and has sold more than 2.7 million copies in the United States.
