"It's A God Thing" - That’s what we continue to hear with each miracle milestone we cross over in this ministry. The most recent announcement, the donation of the use of over 200 acres of land for the Festival and year-round ministry even made the secular world take notice and (re)quote, “This is a God thing”. What an incredible gift, what a move of God! It is clear that He is directing us and as He guides He provides. Over LifeLight’s ministry history we have seen God orchestrate a journey of obedience and faith, where God has moved upon many to join in. The result? Dreams become reality and God gets ALL the glory. Our funding comes fromindividuals, like you, and organizations who want to reach and rescue a generation.
Join us as we continue to reach this current generation and lay firm foundations for the next.
Our mission is simple. Jesus desires to have a relationship with all people. He says so in His Word: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” John 17:3. Jesus is the only hope for all people and they are desperate to know Him. Perhaps you have been thinking, “I want to reach my kids or grandkids or my niece or nephew”. We promise to bring the hope and help that is needed in these times by proclaiming the Gospel message. Your help is needed to continue to reach them. At each concert, festival, missions trip or student ministries event that LifeLight undertakes, we proclaim the Good News of the Gospel. The result? People are delivered from drugs, alcohol, suicide and depression, and marriages and families are restored.
“Taking the Church outside the walls, bringing Light into the darkness with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.” A simple message yet with profound results.
It’s a God Thing! Won’t you join us?
Alan Greene
Evangelist & CEO
As we celebrate the ultimate gift, the birth of a Savior, we are remembering all that we are thankful for. His name shall be called Emmanuel, which means “God with us”. What an incredible gift to the world. God came to earth in the form of His Son and walked among us. He died and rose again and is with us today in the power of His Spirit. As we celebrate Christmas we are remembering His miracles and provisions for the ministry of LifeLight, it has indeed felt like God with us. As we continue to be part of rescuing souls and “Taking the Church outside the walls”, we need you to partner with us as we reach our children, grandchildren and the generations to come. Thank you for your support of God’s work.
For the Kingdom,
Alan Greene

Matthew 19:29 “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.”
On behalf of Evelyn, my two sisters, and our families, we are excited to be able to support LifeLight as they move forward to a new location.
For over 50 years, my Dad, Dwayne Pederson, brought in a harvest of corn and soybeans at the same place that LifeLight now is moving to. However, he also had a heart for bringing in a harvest of souls for God’s eternal kingdom.
Upon his passing on November 20, 2008 – just one year ago – we as a family prayed for God’s guidance as we prepared for the future.
At the same time we were praying for direction, LifeLight was also seeking the Lord for His hand to lead them to the new location they were to call home to the festival.
God brought our paths together as well as a single minded purpose to now bring in a harvest of souls in these last days. Let us now go forward together in faith believing for the great days that are ahead for LifeLight. Today we partner with them, along with you – the sponsors that have stood with them in the past and will continue to support them in the future.
As the word says in Deuteronomy 1:33, speaking of the Lord “who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go.” May God go before us and continue to pave the way ahead. Great is His Faithfulness!

The Harvest Is Plentiful:
Jesus often spoke of agricultural or harvest themes in His teaching. He knew that those themes would relate to most of the people because of their agricultural backgrounds. Even though our cultures have dramatically changed over the centuries, harvest principles have not changed. Someone must prepare the soil, someone must plant the seed, someone must water and cultivate, and then one day, someone will harvest. It takes many hands and many partners to work together to prepare for a harvest. As the LifeLight Festival prepares its move to the new 2010 “agricultural” location, we are praying and preparing for a bountiful harvest of souls for God’s Kingdom. We believe the Harvest will be great. Help us pray and prepare.
Would you consider a partnership with us? We will need hundreds of churches, businesses, families and individuals to be the hands and feet of Jesus and who will be hard at work diligently preparing for “The 2010 Harvest”. Just as local farmers worked frantically to bring in the Fall harvest, so too the ministry of LifeLight feels an urgency to the harvest of souls. Please pray about how God might call you to partner with us. Call or contact our office anytime to arrange a personal meeting with one of our staff. We are also available to give a presentation or speak at your church or organization about LifeLight Communications and the ministries we sponsor. The 2010 Harvest will involve many “workers”. Will you be a worker and partner? Don’t forget, Jesus said, “The fields are white unto harvest”.

Financial Report:
Funds needed to cover planned ministry operations through December 31st currently total $145,000. Gifts given after the festival go to support the work of evangelism and discipleship. LifeLight is an evangelistic proclamation organization, meaning that in everything we do, our goal is to proclaim the Gospel. We receive no government funds or grants, because we are a faith-based ministry which operates solely on offerings and donations from individuals, businesses and churches. Your gift, be it large or small, will be put to Kingdom work – changing lives by the power of Jesus Christ.

We are so excited to have more space to expand festival activities and stages this year. The additional stages will compliment the festival by providing entertainment specifically targeted to a more defined series of age groups while still sharing the message of Jesus Christ. For example, we are bringing back an ”arts” area but this time with a twist, as it will feature acoustic and small group musicians and provide interactive arts activities for young and old alike. We are also bringing back our gospel stage and expanding our world stage area. For those who like really loud, alternative music, we are gearing up a stage just for you featuring hardcore metal bands. And with all these new stages, we really need to come up with new stage names! In January 2010 we will be launching our Name the Stages contest.
Be watching our website, LifeLight.org, for your chance to take part in the action. We can’t wait to get input from all of our attendees across the country and throughout the world!
I
f you’re wondering about parking…Parking lot sizes will be increased and there will be two major parking areas rather than one, allowing for easier traffic flow in and out of the festival grounds. The number of trams will also be increased to provide additional assistance to and from the entrance gates.
Camping registration, vendor applications, and the parking pass fundraiser will open in February 2010 so keep your eyes on LifeLight.org for specific dates and details.
We look forward to seeing you all at the 2010 Festival.

“This event was obviously well bathed in prayer . . . I was so overwhelmed with God’s presence that my eyes were filled with tears.”

“A month ago I tried to OD on meds and was in the hospital. This was to me my last hope at jump starting my life again as thoughts of death, anger, and tears consume me. I received more than I had hoped this year. It is only the beginning to filling my soul up again; however, had it not been for LifeLight...I may not be alive much longer.”

What a busy Fall season Student Ministries has had! Here’s a quick recap of how God has been moving:
• Our Annual See You at the Pole Rally drew over 900 students with 101 students coming forward to receive salvation and new life in Jesus Christ.
• Through passion-filled students and youth pastors, we launched over 25 evangelistically focused Souled Out Clubs on middle and high school campuses throughout our region.
• Souled Out students are currently preparing for their end-of-year school outreaches.
• Our “Unpacking Youth Culture” Parent Seminar tour kicked off in Watertown in November, with more cities and dates being added for early 2010. For more details, see www.areyousouledout.com.
Thank you for all of the prayer and support you offer students that are striving to live their lives for Jesus and reach others for Him. Let’s reach many more students in 2010!
This was a verse we came across as we prayed this past year that God would guide and lead every aspect of missions. Wow, God demonstrated His power as He took us through an incredible year! We had the great privilege of celebrating with our dear friend Jorge as he graduated and became an ordained pastor in Mexico. Anyone who has ever joined us on a LifeLight mission trip has probably met him and heard his story. Since 2002, he has been a part of every LifeLight mission trip. It became clear to us that his calling is to work with us in bringing the Gospel message to his Mexican brothers and sisters, and we have great joy in announcing that he is now a full-time LifeLight missionary. Behind tears, Jorge explained to us that his only desire is that all would know Jesus.
Another answer to prayer came to us through our brother in Christ, Rasheed. Through personally meeting him, we soon felt God’s calling to establish our first Pakistan outreach. This coming April, God has opened the door for us to go into multiple regions of Pakistan. Through youth rallies, pastor conferences & home visits, many will hear the Gospel for the very first time. We are so excited to see the Lord work in the mission field.
If you would like to partner with us financially to help take the Gospel of Jesus to Pakistan, please feel free to call or email us. But most importantly, we ask for your prayers for both missionaries Jorge and his family and Rasheed.
This tour was packaged to reach an audience that most likely wouldn’t set foot in the local church. Disciple, Project 86, Children 18:3 & speaker/live art performer Eric Samuel Timm hit the road with us for 12 days and the tour was a tremendous success! Nearly 1,700 Books of Hope were handed out to people raising their hands making a commitment to Christ and 1,036 of them completed a response card with their contact info and turned it into us. The local promoters in each city alongside of us are now following up with those who made decisions as they begin their new journey! Read more about the Fall Tour at LifeLight.org/Tours.
Mission Accomplished:
“I was at the LifeLight fall tour stop in Groton, SD. Wow!! What an awesome experience!! When Eric Samuel Timm asked people to raise their hands if they were ready to make a decision for Christ, the response was overwhelming!!! I was just standing in the crowd and hands went up everywhere all around me. The number of people wanting booklets and response cards was just awesome. They had to go and get more books but people just waited and kept their hands up. Of the people right in front of the stage where I was, probably more than 70 percent raised their hands. I couldn’t see the whole room but I think over half the people in attendance went back to the “prayer tent” because the room really emptied out when they left. I was just standing there in awe of the presence of God that filled the building and praising Him for the work He was doing!! How exciting to witness such a movement of the Holy Spirit. I feel so blessed just to get to watch it happen. I will continue to pray for those around me who made decisions for Christ. Also THE MUSIC WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I had a great time!! All three bands totally rocked the house and I was really impressed at the show they put on but God just took over and took center stage.
I just want to thank you and Disciple, Project 86 and Children 18:3 and all the other LifeLight tours bands for what you are doing. It may be hard to play for such a small crowd and it might seem like all the work isn’t worth it but God is doing amazing things through you. Small towns are notorious for having nothing to do so when a band - any band - will come out to do a show it draws people who wouldn’t normally come to a Christian event. And I think the results speak for themselves. You are having an incredible impact through these small tour stops. Keep up the amazingly awesome good work.”

For those unfamiliar with the DAVID CROWDER BAND, who was named MSN.com’s 2006 Artist of the Year, the group’s earliest beginnings trace back to the 1990s when CROWDER left his hometown of Texarkana for Waco, Texas, attended Baylor University, and founded the University Baptist Church.
CROWDER--who has authored two books, 2005’s Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi and 2006’s Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die or (The Eschatology of Bluegrass)- -remains a Waco fixture, where he’s still involved with the church’s student-saturated congregation. CROWDER expressed interest in music early on, banging away on the family’s piano as a child. After a while, the noise started sounding melodious, and CROWDER’s mother signed him up for lessons. “I kicked and screamed the whole time but I‘m glad in retrospect,” CROWDER explains. “And I picked up a guitar in college and couldn’t put it down. I’ve always loved music and it just feels like something I’d be doing, whether it paid the bills or not.”
The band may bear Crowder’s name, but all members of the group in addition to Crowder (guitarists JACK PARKER and MARK WALDORP, bassist MIKE DODSON, drummer JEREMY BUSH and electronic violinist MIKE HOGAN) are involved in the creative process. “We look at music as a conversation, and so all of us have input and participate in the conversation, and to make room for all six voices, you wind up with lots of layering,” CROWDER says. “For me, I get bored very easily with music. I like music you can come back to and revisit, where each listen, there’s a new discovery. That’s been attractive and exciting for us, to try to create things like the stuff we love, stuff that’s enjoyable on multiple listens.”
Speaking of their latest release, Church Music, Crowder states, “I think that’s what we have had to struggle with, throughout the history of church music, is figuring out how to maintain distance from culture and at the same time, embrace culture and I feel like when the church’s music has been most effective in expressing that experience has been when it has embraced popular art within culture, and that’s what we’re attempting to do here,” says CROWDER. “I really think music is one of those unique things that we have in the material world that lets us get a glimpse that there might be something bigger.”
