Ethiopia is located in northeast Africa. The country remains an island of Christian influence amid a sea of Islam. In recent years, Ethiopia has become synonymous with hunger, famine and strife. Famine has wracked this beautiful land.
LifeLight has partnered with Food for the Hungry in the child development program in Ethiopia. Food for the Hungry is in the ministry of making disciples through its long-term commitment to communities. LifeLight, through the festival, concerts and tours and friends of the ministry has sponsored thousands of children living in poverty and suffering from the effects of AIDS in this country. Through child sponsorships, we have helped to meet spiritual, physical and emotional needs so they can fulfill God’s potential in their lives. We have “adopted” the community of Zeway where thousands of lives have been impacted through child sponsorship.Recently we have reached out with a team visit sharing the good news through Bible clubs, church and home visitations. We also have sponsored and visited the community of Belo where we shared the Jesus film in the streets and saw the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
