Love.Sex. Tour Recap:
When we first discussed doing this Tour, we really weren't sure what type of response we would get.  After all, the name of the Tour is out there a little.  But so is our culture.  We felt it was something God was leading us to do and something that is certainly needed in today's lost world.  The youth of today are constantly having many things thrown at them and determining what is truth and what is not truth can be very difficult.  So we set out to explain two of today's very popular topics, but to do so from a biblical perspective, Love & Sex.  During these 6 shows throughout the region we saw nearly 400 people make commitments to Christ and many more making commitments to remain sexually pure.  This wasn't an event just for dads and daughters, it was an event for young boys as well.  Boys and girls alike, remaining sexually pure is an important decision to make in your journey and relationship with Christ.  We are extremely proud of the youth in these cities that stepped forward to make these decisions.  We will continue to work with the local churches in each city to follow-up with those that made decisions for Christ.  At the Sioux Falls show alone, over 60 churches from the area were represented based on the information we gathered on response cards.  It is an incredible testimony to God's people coming together to lean on one another.

Thank you to Vota & Rachelle Hope for sharing their musical talents with us each night, for Josh Brewer sharing his incredible story and testimony, and for our crew making sure everything goes smoothly each night.  The promoters and volunteers in each city were incredible as always, thanks for all your hard work to make these events happen.  And very special thank you to Pizza Ranch for supporting us so it's even possible that we can reach these communities with the love of Christ!

THE LOVE.SEX. TOUR - FALL 2011

Nov 9, 2011 to Nov 18, 2011

TOUR DESCRIPTION - We often are asked what this tour is all about.
So here is our explanation:

It doesn’t take much time watching TV or searching the internet to find out that our youth of today are exposed to a lot of temptations. Purity, unfortunately, has now become a word that has a negative hint to it. Have you heard about the TV show “Skins” on MTV? I had heard about it but never watched or seen anything about it. So, I just spent 15 minutes in my office on their website and saw 16 & 17 year-olds doing a lot of drugs, drinking a lot of alcohol, and having sex with a lot of people. Not to mention lesbian activity, a student-teacher affair, and a 17 year old leaving a video diary for his younger sister about sticking with marijuana and not the other drugs.

It’s certainly not the world I want my kids growing up in, but it’s also the reality of what it is. At LifeLight we are always trying to seek out culturally relevant ways to combat such things. The upcoming “Love.Sex. Tour” is one of those efforts. We are going to talk about two things on this tour, Love & Sex. And we are going to do so from a Biblical perspective. We aren’t using any scare tactics. We are simply going to teach the youth what the Bible says about Love and Sex.

Although this is certainly a different type of Tour than we have ever done before, we are extremely excited about it.  We can’t hide from the fact that this is real and that it’s happening in our own backyard.  We have response card after response card from previous events of teens doing exactly what’s happening in “Skins”.  It’s not just happening “out there”.  It’s happening HERE.  We hope you will join us on the Love.Sex. Tour as we reach this generation for Christ!

VOTAVOTA - Much has happened since VOTA's INO Records debut album release. Some of the highlights include a top 10 radio single, 4 consecutive national tours with bands Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North, Newsboys, Barlow Girl and Superchick, a trip to Europe, the startup of a touring/production company, and the launch of a non-profit called The 180 Tour that has performed over 300 character based assembly programs in public high schools in over 30 states. And VOTA is just getting started. As momentum builds, VOTA continues to define its bold and mysterious name on a path all its own, and those who come in contact can't help but follow.

Rachelle HopeRachelle Hope -Rachelle Hope shares her faith through word and song and recently released her first EP album including "He Cries". She serves Christ alongside her husband as God guides them in ministry together. They both have a passion for reaching the lost and ministering to young people by challenging them to be servants for Christ and to walk out their faith.

Rachelle has also spoken at several youth outreaches, women’s conferences, etc. on purity and has a desire to encourage young girls to walk out their faith.

Josh BrewerJosh Brewer - After being abandoned by his mother, and having an alcoholic father, Josh left home. He started down a path of drugs, sex, alcohol and hanging with the wrong crowds seeking love.  At fifteen he was facing 30 counts of grand theft auto and sentenced to jail.  His days being limited to attending school, a job or church, Josh chose to go to church primarily to get out of the house.  The rest of the story is his testimony; Josh is an example of a life transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.

Josh has spoken at youth events, churches, conferences, juvenile detention centers and retreats sharing his testimony.  He encourages youth to live a life of purity and walk out their faith.
